Privacy Policy
Confetti Games is an independent game studio. This policy explains what data is processed when you play our mobile games published on Google Play and when you visit confettigames.studio, why, and what choices you have.
Questions or requests about your data: [email protected].
In short
- Our games do not ask for your phone number, contacts or precise location, and you can play without giving us your name or email address.
- Our games are free and show ads through Google AdMob. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), ads are only personalized if you agree.
- We use Google Firebase to understand how our games are played and to fix crashes.
- We do not sell your personal data.
1. Our mobile games
Your player account
When you start a game, it creates a player account with a random Player ID, so your progress and purchases can be saved. If you choose to sign in (for example with Google Play Games), we also receive that account's identifier and display name. You can delete your account at any time: see Delete your account.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
To show ads, AdMob processes your device's advertising ID, your IP address, device and operating system information, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you interact with ads. This is used to select and show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and prevent fraud.
If you are in a region where consent is required, the game asks you when you first open it. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are not personalized based on your interests. You can change your choice from the privacy option in the game's settings.
You can also reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your Android settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads, or Settings › Google › Ads, depending on your device). Learn more about how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
We collect information about how our games are used: an app-instance identifier, sessions, in-game events (for example a level started or finished), the app version, device model, operating system, language and country. We use it in aggregated form to understand what players enjoy and to improve our games.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
If a game crashes, a crash report is sent to us: technical details about the error, the device model and operating system, the app version and an app-instance identifier. We use it only to find and fix problems.
In-app purchases
Purchases are handled by Google Play. We receive confirmation of the purchase so we can unlock what you bought; we never see your payment details.
Game progress
Your progress and settings are stored on your device and, linked to your Player ID, on our servers, so they are not lost if you change phones. Uninstalling the game removes the copy on your device but not your account; to delete the account, see Delete your account.
2. This website
- Studio pages (such as this one) set no cookies and use no analytics. The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
- Parts of the website where you can play our games in the browser (not offered in every country) count visits without cookies and use Google Analytics only after you accept their cookie banner. Those pages link to their own, more detailed privacy notice.
- The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes request data, including your IP address, to deliver the pages and protect them against abuse.
- If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.
3. Why we are allowed to process this data
- Your consent for personalized ads and, on the website, for analytics cookies. You can withdraw it at any time as described above.
- Our legitimate interests in funding free games with non-personalized ads, understanding and improving our games, fixing crashes, and keeping our services secure. Where the law requires consent for any of these, we ask for it.
- Performing our agreement with you when you make an in-app purchase.
4. Who receives data
We share data only with the service providers named above: Google (AdMob, Firebase, Google Play, Google Analytics, Google Fonts) and Cloudflare. For advertising, Google and its partners may act as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Such transfers are made under the safeguards required by applicable law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the rules for transfers abroad under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK).
5. How long data is kept
- Analytics data in Google Analytics for Firebase is kept for no longer than 14 months.
- Crash reports are kept by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days.
- Advertising data is kept by Google according to Google's retention policies.
- Website visit counts are deleted after 26 months.
- Your player account and game progress are kept until you delete your account.
- Emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your request.
6. Children
Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU, the UK GDPR, or KVKK in Türkiye), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
To delete your account and its data, follow the steps on Delete your account. To exercise any other right, email [email protected]. Because our games do not ask who you are, we may need an identifier from your device (such as the app-instance ID shown in the game's settings, where available) to find the data that relates to you.
8. Security
We rely on established providers and keep the data we handle to the minimum we need. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to fix problems quickly.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will also let you know in our games.
